Visit with Nana

Last Friday we went to visit with my Nana.  This is my mom's mom and she lives in an assistant living home in Burbank.  She loves it there. My cousin Lori is visiting from Texas, she planned a day where some of us cousins would meet and take Nana out to lunch.  I haven't seen Lori in a long time, more then a year so when they included me, I was excited to go.
This is Nana when she opened her door to her "apartment."
Hannah and Madie.  Madie is my cousin Rachel's daughter, that makes them second cousins, right? Madie's dad just left for Afghanistan.  He will be deployed for 7 mos.
The group!  I look like an amazon woman.  What the heck?
Me and Diane (Diane is my cousin, she is 2 months older then me.  I make sure she knows it too.) are standing
Lori, Amy Nana, Hannah, Rachel and Madie
Sweet Madie, seriously could this baby get any cuter??
 We took Nana to Islands.
Diane and Nana
Hannah and Lori, Hannah kept calling Lori Grandma!  It was so funny.
Lori whats like what the heck girl??
 Lori, Hannah and me
Me and Amy, my face is looking fat from this angle. UGH.
 Rachel and Diane.
Thanks girls, for letting me tag along with you guys.  Thanks Rachel for driving us too.  We had a blast and it was so good to see Nana.  Lori, you are a riot! Seriously, I am flying to Texas this winter to visit you!!

funny baby and Mt Rubidoux

Last Thursday, Hannah waited to long to go pee.  She NEVER has an accident but I guess she was having too much fun or something.  Anyway, instead of calling for me she took her pants off and grabbed some new and rode out to me with the CLEAN ones on her head.
Hi mom, I pee-peed my pants so here are some new ones!
 HAHAHAH
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, last Thursday we walked up Mount Rubidoux again.  It is so pretty up there.
 Hmm, Smog??
 My girls.
Can you tell I love the flag?
Daddy and the girls walked up the steps to get a closer look at the cross.
Its really pretty.  I think if we were around I would like to go to the Easter Sunday service up here.
The girls were having so much fun running off some energy.
 Jump baby jump
 HAHAHA mid air.
I love when the girls hold hands and walk together.
 On the walk down
 So pretty
Anyone what to go with us next time?

Another river trip.

Yep, thats right, our most favorite place to be, on the water!
Luckiest enough to have in-laws that let us use their place.
Hannah thinks she wants to kneeboard.
However, don't even think about hooking it to the boat.
Last weekend it was so beautiful, no wind!  Absolutely no wind!!
Hardly anyone on the water.  Felt like we had the lake to ourself.
This girl is getting awesome on the knee board, she shreds, she stands on it and surfs it, she sits criss cross applesauce with no hands and goes in and out of the wake.
 Check out that form.
This one gets tired of watching her sister do EVERYTHING.
 This guy
does a little of this and a little of wake boarding.  I am driving the boat so I don't get to watch. ;(
Then she does this for a while.
 and then some of this.
Finally a little relaxation.  Daddy played while I was able to nap.  HEAVEN.
 Then we do this.
 and more of that.

She is so relaxed out there, waiting for daddy to turn her around.
So she can do this one handed.
Why are you in the passenger seat Kent?
Oh, because this one drives the boat too!
Notice who is standing on the tube?  Yep, Hannah is getting so big.
Thanks babe for another amazing river weekend.  You are such a great daddy and hubby. I love you. Now if only you could get me up on the wake board and a single ski.
Oh, and I did knee board this trip.  Kent was driving the boat and Amy was pouting and wouldn't take pictures of me.  Maybe next trip I can get someone to take a picture of me on the water!

Mount Rubidoux

Still catching up on my blog.  Last Wednesday after the swim party and after dinner, I suggested we go walk up Mt. Rubidoux.  Kent and I have never done that, it sounded like fun, besides it was a really nice evening.  So we tossed the kids in the car, googled how to get there and off we went.  We ended up parking at the dog park, next time we will park in front of doctors house and walk.  We hiked up an area that had been burned not long ago, we didn't know where the trail that was paved began.  Let me tell you what we walked up was VERY difficult.  At one point I had already gotten up an area and then had to reach down to help Kent with the stroller.  I asked someone along the way if this was the only trail.  She directed us for the next time. No stroller the dirt would have been fine, I recommend if you have a stroller enter and walk the paved area only!! HAHAHA
We made it to the top!
The cross looked so pretty up close.
I love the american flag.  I think we have the most beautiful flag there is.  When it is waving in the wind it looks amazing and makes me thankful for the soldiers that have fought for our freedom.
She is a mess from swimming, I didn't even comb her hair we left so quickly.
This little one didn't want her picture taken.
This was a very fun evening with the family.  I couldn't believe how crowded it was there.  The different types of people that walk it too was crazy.
I think I am finally caught up on old stuff, next entry will be last weekend at the river!

Swim Play date

Last Wednesday I hosted a swim play date at my house.  I invited a bunch of kids from school.
We had a great time, laughing and talking. I BBQ'd hot dogs and each family brought something to share.
So silly, she LOVED having friends over!
Jake, one of Amy's BF's from school
 Amy and Mia
Ashley is a cousin of one of the boys.  So cute.
 Kids every where.
Thanks for the fun day! Lets do this again soon.
