Ah, Sunday

Sunday: Amy's friend Jordan called and we took her for the day. We took the girls to Bass pro shop and they had a free paint project for kids, and then they had some free games. The girls had a blast. then we took them to Wendy's for lunch and back home. After Jordan went home, Amy wanted to swim so I told her she could and next thing I new she was in the pool.

We went to Kent's parents house for his dad's birthday. Kent and the girls rode bikes and Rick and I went after my bread was done baking in the oven. He wanted to drive my car, so I let him. while he was driving I took a picture of his black eye. Apparently he was in a fight Friday night!
I guess he was at a party and some kids that no one new showed up. One punk was talking crap to his friends, so Rick told the punk to knock it off. ( I am sure the language was different, but this is a family blog.) So anyway the girls were out front and he went out to check on them, when the punk came back with friends and said this is the guy as Rick turned around the punk hit him in the head with a left hook. This is what he looked like 2 days later.
Today it is even more purple. Ugh, teenagers!! :)

We arrived at Grandmas and the kids played.
While Kent BBQ
Marinated Flank steak! YUMMY!!!
After dinner the kids watched grandpa open his gifts.
Kelly and Gary
The birthday boy Grandpa Gary.
Silly kids...
Helping grandpa blow out his candles.
Ricky and mommy. ;)
Thanks everyone for a great weekend.

Saturday

Saturday morning, we got up and I started taking everything I could out of my room so that we could arrange it differently.

Then we did some planting out front. Weeds bye bye and hello flowers!
:)
Amy had a play date with her friend Carly and then they call and asked us to come over for a BBQ. So we showered and headed over, it was so much fun. We stayed out until 11 p.m. with some children! :) Rick called looking for us he was worried since we weren't home. He said we were parting like rockstars!!

Friday

Woot woot do you know what this is?

It's my new bedding!!!
I also have been working more diligently on potty training, so we spent most of Friday doing this!
This little cutie will be 2 in just a few weeks.

Weekend Recap

Friday was so busy, I worked in Amy's class and then ran home picked up Rick went to the drop clothes off at the cleaners, picked up lunch and back to Amy's school for picnic on the playground. Then we came home Hannah had a short nap and off to pick up Amy from school then ran over to get her hair cut. By the time Kent got home I was exhausted. So we went to Lonestar for dinner. YUMMY!!
Saturday we had some errands to do such as Costco. Then Amy had a birthday party at the bowling alley.

While Amy was there. Rick babysat Hannah while Kent and I went to Anaheim for a dental meeting. ADA was last weekend. Anyway, we had a fun time with John and Wendy. It was great to get out of the house for a bit with no kids! :)

Sunday, We did our normal, Trader Joes and Grocery shopping. Kent and I have been discussing the need for a new bed. So Banner was having a sale and we decided to just check it out. Anyway, we got a new bed. We had a Queen and now we have a KING!! So excited about that. The mattress is so tall, I am having difficulty finding the extra deep fitted sheets. UGH!
So here is the new bed, I need to get a comforter, skirt and find new sheets. (we bought theses at Ross, they said they fit up to 18 inches, but as you can see that is not the case!)
Amy's bed was pretty bad too, we had bought a really cheap mattress, it was sagging in the middle. We use her bed sometimes for a guess so we bought her a new mattress too. Its so high its like the princess and the pea. Super comfy!!
Sunday afternoon, Kent worked on the pool and its now ready for the 7th annual swim party otherwise known as Amy's birthday party and Hannah's too.
Happy Tuesday everyone.

Amy's new doooooo!

I forgot to take a picture of Amy before, so this will have to do. She wanted her hair cut to her shoulders, but daddy said no. So we went to see Linda today and she cut her hair just below her shoulders. I would say about 4-5 inches came off.

Amy was a little mad that Linda didn't cut more off, but we told her that we needed to get daddy use to it and then next time if Amy wants we can cut it a little more.
When daddy got home he said it wasn't that short, but then a little later he looked again and thought it was too short!
I think it looks awesome.
She got rid of all those dead ends and its so soft and healthy now. :)

Mother's Day weekend @ Santee Lakes

SANTEE LAKES OR BUST!
Friday afternoon we headed to San Diego for a weekend of Mother's Day fun.
We loaded into the motorhome, (all but Rick :( he went to prom with his friend Saturday night.) and headed to Santee Lakes.
Can you tell someone was excited to go in the motorhome?
Maybe two girls were excited to go in the motorhome?
Oops, busted. Someone has not signed the no phone zone bill of Oprahs.
We arrived and unloaded the bikes.
Amy had this special spot for her bike only.
Hannah as soon as we got the toys out she was full of dirt.
The stream runs through the campground.
We were backed up to this part of the stream.
Amy loved the stream, I couldn't keep her away from it.
Amy sticking her toes in that stream.
After we got settled in we went on the first of many bike rides.
This is one of 7 lakes.
Daddy I want that one.
It was very green and pollen was in the air!!
You can take the man out of Norco but you can't take the redneck out of him!
Daddy made a redneck swing for the girls.
We ate dinner outside.
Family picture minus rick :(
We took another bike ride after dinner. They have 6 different playgrounds.
Daddy even played on the survivor playground.
We played at all the parks.
(except we never made it to the water park. It was a bit far for Amy to ride.)
Pretty scenery.
We saw cranes running.
We rented a paddle boat for an hour.
The flowers were so pretty.
Ice cream break after the paddle boats.
Then we rode back to the motorhome and the girls got into their suits
and we walking to the pool.
The pool was not heated but the girls didn't mind swimming.
Just hanging. This is prior to taking a dive and daddy having to rescue her. She didn't even mind that she was completely under the water.
After the rescue.
We came back and had lunch, Hannah relaxing.
Monkey girl aka Amy climbed the rope.
We relaxed.
The tooth she has been working on for weeks finally came out.
This is just before she pulled it out.
Toothless wonder!
While daddy and Amy were fishing, Hannah was chasing the duckies.
Night fishing.
Amy caught her first catfish. We had a total of 3, but they were all pretty small so Kent put them back.
Tooth fairy came!
Mother's day morning.
Hannah rode on the back of my bike. ( Yes, Tawnya, Danielle and my mom, she is wearing a helmet this time!)
We fed the ducks.
The girls loved the ducks.
We enjoyed the view.
We fed the momma duck and her babies.
Hannah LOVES the slides.
Amy is part monkey, this kid can sure hang on the monkey bars.
Hannah was exhausted from the fun times we had.
Amy watching a movie and eating her lunch on the way home. (yes, she is drinking a diet pepsi!)
Happy Mothers Day!
