Fun Hair pretties

I am having so much fun making hair pretties for the girls. I ordered a box of flower petals from ABC Catalog and they came yesterday. So I made a couple of pretties today just to try it out. Its so fun and I find it very relaxing to create and be crafty.

I think we should have a craft party and create some fun hair pretties or whatever else you want. Let me know if you are interested and I will host one. We could have a craft party one of two ways: While we craft the kids play or we get sitters and just craft with no kids. What do you think????

On another note: Amy took this picture of Hannah this morning. Didn't even know that Amy got the camera to take a picture. I think she might be following in my footsteps. Way to go Amy!

Amy fell in the mud again!

Seriously? I get a phone call at 9:40 a.m. this morning from Miss. Lee that Amy had fallen in the mud again! What the heck? Why must they run the 100 mile club in the grass after it poured rain last week. Amy said they told them to NOT step in the mud, but she was running so fast and said she didn't see the mud pit and slipped. She said she did the splits! OUCH!!

At least she wasn't wearing all pink again!
Not sure how she didn't get it on her jacket.
Nice buns! Apparently, a few kids had fallen in the mud. The bathroom floor was gross, mud all over. Plus the ladies in the office were not so happy about calling the parents to bring clothes. Oh well, it got me out of work for a bit. too bad I had a migraine today otherwise I might have taken more pictures of the mud in the filed.

Houdini or Hannah?

I swear I did not put this kid to bed like this! When I went into her room this morning she had her arm out of the jammies. I am still not sure how she did this since the jammies were still snapped and zipped all the way to her chin.

It reminded me of when she was a newborn and we would swaddle her. She would work her hand up and get it out of the blanket and next thing you knew she would be completely un-swaddled. It was hilarious. Kent would tuck her in so tight and within minutes she was out.
Check her out with the paci's in each hand and one in her mouth.
Sweet little Houdini!

Weekend randomness

Wow, what a beautiful Saturday after all the rain. My friend Danielle invited me and the girls to go to the Orange County Swap meet with her today. (I have never been, so I was pretty excited to go). I thought the girls looked cute so just a picture of them before we left.
Amy girl.

Hannah, she actually wore the bow for a couple of hours. However, we came home without it. :( I guess she was done and chucked it somewhere at the swap meet.
We went back to Danielle's and had a quick lunch and let the girls play for a minute before we headed home.
Sunday was a typical day for us. Church, Breakfast (Betty Fayes was the place today) and then to Trader Joe's. I bought these skirts for the girls yesterday. Pretty cute. Amy got the boots too. She is so spoiled. By the way this bow in Hannah's hair lasted about two hours and then gone, must be somewhere in the parking lot at Betty Fayes. I am starting to see a pattern that I don't like here.
Then Sunday afternoon we went to my cousins house in Costa mesa. She had an electrical problem that Kent fixed for her. That was fun to see her and her kids. Amy and Molly love to play together. Hope you all have a great week.

Rain, rain go away.....

Okay, I know we need the rain and I know other places in the world have rain all the time. However, this is crazy. I am so over the rain. I don't like to drive in it, I don't like to be cold and I live in Sunny California. Bring back the sun!!! So as I looked out at the pool this morning this is what I saw. Not only is it dirty from the rain but it is about to overflow. Hope our drainage system is working well.

I thought this was kind of pretty with the tree reflecting in the water. Look at how high the water level is! Yikes.

I was reading my new Family Fun magazine and it had "hairy dogs" recipe for kids. So I made it for Hannah today. Its kind of gross, but she totally loved it.

You take hot dogs (I use Turkey dogs) cut them in bite size pieces and then poke noodles through them as many as you'd like.

Then you boil them like you would boil hot dogs or pasta.
Serve, "hairy dogs"! She loved them. She ate this whole plate!
Happy Friday everyone. Hope you have a great weekend.

Best Daycare provider EVER!!

When you are a working mommy, you have to be so careful with who you choose to leave your children with. Well, I feel so fortunate to have a WONDERFUL lady/family to watch my kids. Lauren has been taking care of Amy since she was 3 months old and when Hannah turned 3 months she took her on too. She is so caring and loving to my girls. Anyway, yesterday morning when I took Hannah to Lauren's house, Hannah showed her the booboo on her chin. Lauren said "Paul (her husband) bought you something this weekend, I think that will make your chin feel better". She handed her these boots. How cute is that. How many people have a daycare that buys them gifts? Hannah loves her new boots.

The funny part is Hannah wore Amy's boots all weekend and even this morning she had them on. So I had said "Hannah do you want mommy to buy you boots"? She said" ahh ha". Then we get to Laurens and there are boots just waiting for her.
Day 2 of the bruise: Last night I got another picture of her chin. Poor baby, she really hit something hard! I think it might have been the tile floor.

Wow, 2nd post today

Poor Hannah had a rough day today. Seems like she was running into EVERYTHING today. She ran into the coffee table, she fell several times on the tile, walked into the rocking chair, closed her finger in the desk drawer and stubbed her toe on the step. Good thing I was home with her today to kiss all the boo boos. So this evening her and Amy where playing in the bar on the bikes. Not sure what happened but she fell and hit her chin.

Above Picture, if you look at her left side you can see the bruise that is starting to climb up her face.
Check that owy out! ( Is that how your spell it)?
Poor sweet baby, she hit her chin hard.

Rainy day crafts

First, I just wanted to say how nice it was to be home on this rainy day. Amy didn't have school and it happened to be my Monday off.
I told you yesterday I was going to take another stab at making bows for the girls. So while Hannah was napping and Amy was painting, this is what I made.

This morning Hannah was watching the rain. She cracked me up moving the chairs around to sit and stare out the sliding glass door.
She was telling me to see something.
Here is the craft shirt I made yesterday.
Amy starting her craft project. Painting a shirt.
Still painting.
Here is the finished project.
Hope you enjoyed your rainy day.

Friday to Sunday

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. We really didn't do much. Friday we went to Claim Jumpers for dinner, I was craving soup. They have the winter menu and you get 3 cups of soup for $7.95. So I had their Clam chowder and french onion. Yum, yum, yum.
I guess the girls still needed something sweet so after baths they had a treat. Amy had cookie dough ice cream and Hannah had a chocolate chip cookie.

Isn't that just the cutest little face.
She is a cookie monster. She wants them all day every day!
For the past month now, Lauren and I have been working with Hannah on the potty. No tinkle yet, but it is getting her use to the idea. We (well, Lauren had) Amy potty trained before she was 2! So lets hope Hannah will do the same.
Saturday, was pretty lazy until Kent got home from work. Then we did some errands, first Trader Joe's I picked up 3 more bottle of my Almond flavored Sparkling wine. They don't have much left, I think its seasonal. Then to Walmart for a few things. I have been wanting a valance for Amy's room. I found it in Chocolate Brown. I feel better now her room is almost done. I still need some pictures for the walls. (Hint hint Kristen)

Saturday night we went to Kent's sisters house for Gary's birthday. We just went for cake and ice cream and I forgot my camera so here is a picture from my files. Gary is in the black shirt! Happy Birthday Gary!

Sunday, we went to church and breakfast at Rodrigo's (my favorite place). Then to the grocery store. While Hannah napped and Kent watched football, Amy and I snuck out of the house and went to Michael's for a craft to do tomorrow, since the rain is coming. Then we went to Walmart again for another valance, I needed two and only bought one.
One of things Kent and I would like to do this year is paint and scrape ceilings just make our house more of a home. We have lived here for 7 years and only do what we have to, like bedrooms and bathroom. Its time to make the rest of the house comfy. Anyway, we have tile in the front of the house, which I HATE. Its ugly, white and cold. We will eventually get rid of it, but the cost is out of reach for now. So my in-laws gave me an gift card for Christmas and I bought this rug for the dinning room. I LOVE it. It has a burgundy color in it and I want to paint the window wall that color. Then I will find some stuff for the walls, valance etc.

Closer view. Thanks mom and dad Cozart for the gift card!! :)
While we were at Michael's I found this hat box for $8.00. I thought ah, perfect for Amy's barbies she got for Christmas.
She was so excited to put them all in it. They fit and it closes up so Hannah can't get them! Yayy.
Craft for Monday. Amy wanted to paint a shirt and I thought I would take another stab at bows. I ironed he shirts and then I cheated and did Hannah's tonight!!
The bow stuff, if they don't turn out they won't be posted!! Keep your fingers crossed this batch will look better!
Hannah's finished shirt. I think she will wear it tomorrow.
Stay dry and see you all soon.

What a day?

Today was so crazy. Hannah is 19 months old today! When I dropped her off this morning at Lauren's, she told me that yesterday Hannah had fallen and hit her mouth on the table. (kent picked her up the day before and Lauren forgot to tell him). Anyway, she said the little skin that attaches your lip and your upper gum. (frenum) was stuck between her teeth. So I looked and her mouth, it was very swollen and looked like it was stuck between her front teeth. So after I went to work I called the best Children's dentist, Dr. Beam. They wanted me to bring her in so I did at 10:00 this morning. She did amazing! Dr. Beam and I sat knee to knee and with her bottom on my lab and her head in his lap, he was able to exam her mouth WITHOUT a tear! Hooray!!! She let him tug and pull on that sore lip without a peep! He said it was just so swollen it looked like it was stuck but it was not!!

Then this one wanted me to take a picture of her crazy hair after taking her braids out! Plus, get in homework, dinner and dishes. Oh ya, trying to gather tax stuff too. There is just not enough hours in the evening after work. Somedays I feel like once I get home its all a blur.
Then it was time for me.... Me and this lovely bottle of Almond Flavored Sparkling Wine. If you have not had it, get it! It was divine! I bought it at Trader Joe's a couple of weeks ago. I just cracked it open and the heavens opened, singing hallelujah! Seriously yummy and cheap. I think this bottle was $5.99. If you people don't shop Trader Joe's your missing out. Kent and I have been going there every Sunday for about a year now. We do most of our grocery shopping there and fine such good food and great prices.

Hope you all had a better Wednesday then I did. Looking forward to the weekend. Come on weekend!!

Little of this and that for the weekend.....

Saturday morning I was dusting a box to put all the wii stuff in and Amy wanted to dust the rest of the house. So I gave her the rag and the pledge and way she went.

Still dusting.
While Amy was dusting Hannah was walking around.
My in laws make the best homemade beef jerky ever! So for Christmas they gave Kent and I a dehydrator and all the stuff we need to make our own. So Saturday afternoon Kent got it all out and we made our very first batch. It came out pretty good, but not as good as the in laws. We have some more practicing to do.
Here it is dehydrating.
Saturday night we decided to take Amy bowling since she loves bowling on her wii.
We left Hannah with grandma and grandpa and went bowling.
Here I am.
Can you tell she was loving being an only child if only for a while?
So stinkin cute!
Daddy won! He is by far the best bowler of the 3 of us.
Sunday morning we put the girls in matching outfits for church. I tried to get a couple of cute pictures but Hannah was not cooperating.
Amy wanted to take a few pictures. So here is me and Hannah.
I didn't even know Amy took this picture until I download the pictures from my camera.
Tonight I made the best prime rib dinner EVER! I wish I would have taken a picture of it. It melted in your mouth. Hope everyone had a wonderful, fun filled weekend like we did.
