Thanksgiving Weekend

Hello, did you miss me?
It seems like I have not be around in a while.
Anyway, I have missed you.
Last week for Thanksgiving the kids aka Amy was of school all week. We had our annual trip to Ocotillo planned. On Monday at approximately 1 a.m. and certain 7 year old came down with the stomach flu. On Tuesday she was still very sick, but grandma let her come over anyway. About noon, I got a phone call from grandma that Amy wanted to talk to me. She was crying and wanted to come home and be in her own bed. She also just wanted mommy. So I left work and picked her up. By 7 p.m. Tuesday night she was almost back to her normal self. Well, Wednesday at 1 a.m. that stomach flu came back but this time he decided to visit me! UGH! I was crying and wanted my mommy too. Anyway, I had a fever, chills, stomach flu (I won't give you any more detail then that). Called in sick, called grandma she came and got the girls and I moaned and groaned in bed all day long. Kent got home and still planned on leaving for the desert. I was thinking about driving myself Thanksgiving day, but then against my better judgement I went along in the motorhome. UGH, I felt so yucky! I never completely recovered the whole time we were there, but the kids had fun. Kent actually had a slight taste of the stomach flu on Friday, but he fought it and never got it like me and Amy. I called to Check on Rick he had it too at home on Saturday. That flu is a wicked one. If you know anyone with it I advise to stay away. So the only one is Hannah that managed to escape its evilness.
So here is a few pictures from camping, I didn't take many because I just wasn't myself.
Hannah's favorite thing to do is take a bath in the sink of the motorhome.
Once I have her in she always says "take a picture of me" So cute.
My sweet Amy
Amy was making donuts here I think.
Who is that you ask? Yep its Hannah she is getting pretty good on that quad. Daddy still has it throttled way down so he can walk next to her. But still very cute.
Hannah is getting so big! Ugh, where did my baby go?
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope you all had a great day and have many blessings to be thankful for.

Misc weekend pictures

With the cold weather, I was getting cabin fever so I spent some time making a few new hair pretties. This is what I created. Before you get all excited and think I am a genius, I cheat a bit with the pretties. I find things around the house and change them into things for you hair. Anyway, they are still cute!!
Sunday when we had a break in the rain Kent and Amy put all the outside lights up.
She was such a good helper!
However, today is Tuesday and we had a VERY long night. First, Monday at work SUCKED!! It was so stressful and just a bad day altogether. When I got home from work the girls were something else, just seemed like everyone was off. I got everyone into bed early including myself thinking I would be able to get a great night sleep and face Tuesday with a whole new outlook. Well, that didn't happen. Minnie needed to go out about 12:45 p.m. to pee, once back into bed the stomach flu took over Amy's body and the rest of the night was history. I won't bore you with the gory details of the stomach flu, but lets just say Amy and I didn't sleep much and I cleaned out bowls and trash cans of vomit. I did manage to get to work for most of the day, but then Amy called crying and just wanted her mommy and her own bed. So I left at lunch and was able to cuddle with a very sick pumpkin. Lets pray Hannah doesn't get it while we are camping!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Blog update

Oh my oh my, I have had a heck of a time finding time to blog. So a quick little update. Hannah has jumped leaps and bounds with potty training. We are on 5 days with NO accidents. I have been taking her everywhere in big girl panties. It is a bit of a hassle for me and sometimes I think lets not potty train yet, but then think she is almost 2 1/5 yrs old and its time. What comes out of that kid at this point should be flushed!! I am sad everyday at how big she has gotten and often think what if we could have just 1 more.......

Saturday, had DISH network installed and took out the DirecTv (after 12 yrs or so) We found we could save about $600.00 over the next 2 yrs just by switching the two. Then Kent and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. We went to Pomona Valley mining Company. It was very good. Then we went to the movies, we made the mistake of seeing Due Date. Kent thought it was funny, but I thought it was a total waste of money. I was thinking I would have rather spent $22.00 on a Christmas gift then the movie. My opinion DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Sunday, we went to Church and headed out to do all our errands. Stater Bros., Sam's Club, Walmart and the list goes on and on. We (Kent and Amy) put up the outside Christmas Lights. I started a few inside stuff. We loaded the motorhome and Trailer, laundry and I made a pot of Chili and Corn bread for dinner.

Kids are off of school this week, but Kent and I both have to work at least its a short week. I can't believe its Thanksgiving and Christmas is only 6 weeks away. The years are gong by so fast.

Well, I will try to get some pictures up soon. May have to wait until after the Thanksgiving Holiday. Busy Busy Busy!!

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life. Thank you Kent for all that you do.
I am looking forward to Saturday date night to celebrate our life together.

Thursday and Friday fun

Since Thursday was a Holiday and I was off both Thursday and Friday, I let Amy have a sleep over at our house. On Thursday when Amy got up she wanted to know what time Carly could come over. We picked her up about 10:30 a.m., when to Michaels and bought a craft, went to Target for a more big girl panties for Hannah. (She seems to have a lot of accidents this weekend). When we got home the girls played a bit and had lunch. While Hannah was napping we started the cookie process.
PW sugar cookies.
This is Friday morning, the girls wanted to decorated the cookies.
Carly's creations.
Amy's Creations.
Yes, even Hannah got to decorate. These are the ones she did ALL by herself.
Thursday night craft project was to make t-shirts.
Friday we went to see Megamind and the girls wore their matching shirts. We met Carly's mom and sister and her friends there, then Amy went home with them for the afternoon and most of the evening. I came home and gave Hannah a long nap and finally had some quiet time and watch a bunch of shows on tivo.
Later we picked up Amy and visited for a while before coming home. So far having the two days off have proven to be very eventful!

Minnie loves to be under our bed, not sure why probably a safe place for her to get away from Hannah. While I was getting ready for the day, she was laying under the bed watching me. Isn't she so cute?

Quick trip to Simi Valley

Well, Kent has been working so much lately leaving the family home without him. He work Friday all day and night, we didn't even see him until about 11:00 a.m on Saturday and the he worked again Sunday from 6:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m.. So I decided to take advantage of it and go to Simi Valley to visit my family. Me, and the kids (Including Ricky, I know he is almost 20 so when I say kids most people only think of the girls) headed out to Simi Valley. I had called my dad a couple days prior to make sure they would be home. My mom's birthday was Friday and I thought we would surprise her for her birthday. Anyway, my dad had told me that my nephew would be getting baptized on Sunday in the afternoon. So we got to go to that too. Luke was so excited that we were there for his special day. We got to Simi about 10:00 a.m., my mom was shocked and surprised to see all of us. She loved it, I was able to give her a b day gift and pictures of the kids. My sister and her kids came home and we all visited. I brought lunch for me and Hannah and my parents and Rick told Amy and Kory to in and out burger for lunch. Away, about 3 :00 p.m. we headed to the church where 18 kids were being Baptized. That is awesome!!
Hannah sitting on Aunt Tami and her bf Scott.
Rick and Amy (oops, someone is playing pac man on his droid in church)
Hannah was loving the singing and worship.
Luke telling us why he wanted to be Baptized.

Kind of a cool thing, the kids could ask someone to was instrumental in their Christian life to baptize them. So my brother had that opportunity to baptize his son. Some kids the pastor baptized, some kids had moms or step dads baptize them.
This is the group of kids that dedicated their life's to Christ on Sunday.
Congratulations, may God bless you and keep you all safe in his ever loving arms.

Picnic and twin day

Friday was picnic on the playground at school and also twin day. I bought these out fits last year for Carly and Amy to wear for twin day and they decided to wear it again this year. I think they look pretty darn cute.
Hannah loves to be at school with all the big kids. We take Amy lunch and sit on the playground with her and her friends and their parents. Its a great time to visit with the other parents. Plus you get to see your kid at school and meet the kids they hang out with at school too.
Amy chatting up with her friends.
Another picture of the "twins".
Hannah loves to climb on everything. She was giving her Aunt Kelly a heart attack. Finally Aunt Kelly came over and insisted on holding her on the bars. Hannah kept says let go aunt kelly, but she wasn't having it.
Then she wanted to swing, so she ran over and hopped on. This kid is so funny.
Fun lunch at school.

Halloween day

So on Sunday, we got home from Camping at Vale Lake about 2:00 p.m. or so and then we unloaded the motorhome and made a quick dinner. We got the girls dressed again and then went to a couple of houses in our neighbor hood. Then we went to our church for the trunk or treat, it was very crowded and they ran out of candy. Amy went to a few cars looked at me and said can we go home? She thought it was boring. So we left and headed to our friends house, by the time we got there we were too late and they had already left to trick or treat the neighborhood. So we just came home and went to bed. I was thankful for that, since I was tired from the weekend events!!
My pirates!
We ran into Zach and Jake at the church, these were Amy's first friends she meet in Kindergarden. They have a special bond. I for see them being friends their whole lives.
Right after we took the picture the pumpkin fell down. I think Hannah leaned on it. So embarrassing.
On the way back to the car the Norco Fire was at the church so the girls climbed on board to take a picture for papa.
Happy Halloween 2010!

Camping Vale Lake

Friday 10/29/10 we headed to Vale Lake in Temecula for our annual Halloween camping trip. This was Minnie's first time in the motorhome and she was so scared at first. She finally laid down on the couch and slept a bit.
Then Amy woke her up and I moved her by my feet and she seem to do pretty well. I hope the more we take her places the more she will adjust to being in the motorhome or car.
We arrived at Vale about 3:30 or 4:00 p.m.. We had a much smaller group this year and we were the only ones there until much later. We rode around in the ranger and hung out by the camp fire. So it was fun but just different.
Saturday, my Bff Wendy and her hubby went to visit there daughter in the hospital so I watch her 3 boys. We carved pumpkins and they rode bikes and ran all over the camp ground. Playing and having a great time.
Danielle was showing Linkyn how to get the seeds out.

Hannah and Linkyn scrapping the inside.
Danielle craving her spider.
This one is mine I did for Amy.
Kent made this one for Hannah
Danielle made for Linkyn.
This kid never stopped. Her socks are getting washed twice and when we got home I made her soak herself for an hour.
These two played and loved up on Minnie
We invited our friends Don, Michelle and their kids to come for the day on Saturday. They arrived early afternoon and I took Michelle and the girls for a little ranger ride. Then Kent and Neal had found a cool off road adventure and decided to take Don and Michelle on it. Well, I guess he made a wrong turn along the way because I got a hone call that he was in a predicament and would be calling Neal for back up. So Neal and Jim jumped into his Rhino and head out to look for Kent and our friends. In the mean time its getting late and I am trying to cook for all of us and get 5 girls ready to trick or treat. Needless to stay I was getting stress. So I went and got John to help me get the BBQ put together and started cooking the carne asada. Good thing I had already made the guacamole and and homemade salsa. Finally they were rescued and Kent was able to finish cooking our dinner. We ate and the girls were able to trick or treat.
Mine and Danielle's pumpkins.
We trick or treat motorhome to motorhome and its great. You don't have to knock on anyones door. They are all outside and most people have all sorts of cool decorations and some have haunted houses.
Amy, Carly, Hannah Shelby, Gabbi, Danielle and Linkyn.
Danielle, Linkyn and Jack Sparrow.
Carly and Amy.
After trick or treating we went up to the store area, the have a DJ, dancing, costume contests and a whole lot of fun. We hung out and the girls danced with Danielle.
I was exhausted from the days events so we went back early. We put the girls to bed and we all sat by the campfire until 1:00 a.m.
Stay turned for Sunday!!
