This and that..

Well, its has not been very event full around here lately. I am not sure if thats good or bad.
After Friday nights father/ daughter dance I didn't have much more to report.
Saturday was raining and cold, so I took a couple of pictures of Hannah while the rest of the house was sleeping. (Except Kent, he worked for a bit in the morning).
Hannah loves to push her Dolls around the house. Check out her sippy cup in the basket.
Hmm, this might be some insight on Sunday afternoons delight.
Santa brought these slippers and she is finally able to wear them. They were too big at first.
Later Saturday afternoon, we had a family trip to Costco and then I came home and made Scallops with tomato herbs. So yummy. Pretty much stayed home the rest of the day and night.

Sunday, we woke up and went to church. We went to brunch at Rodrigoes and home. Kent put Hannah down for a nap in a T-shirt and diaper. I told him not a good idea, but he insisted she would be fine. Kent started working on the motorhome ( we are getting ready to go camping) and I went grocery shopping, get this ALL MY MYSELF. It was so peaceful.
When I got home, Hannah was awake in her bed. This is what I saw...
Oh ya, that's her diaper in her hand and NOT, I repeat NOT on her butt!
Thankful that it did not have poop in it! I think she must have peed in the diaper and then took it off, because it was full of pee, but her bed was dry. Kent is so lucky that it wasn't a mess in there.

Sunday afternoon, my son came home like this....

and this.....
Yep, on top of his tongue and ears already pierced, he decided to have his nose pierced and his wrist.
Son, we love you and we are proud of who you are. So why must you do these things to your body???? His answer and I quote " I was bored. LOL"
( I have a vote on facebook right now if nose piercings are for guys, girls, either or neither)

Woot Woot date night!

Father/ Daughter that is!
Tonight was Amy's schools Father/ Daughter Dance. She was so excited. After school we went to get her a new dress, because NOTHING in her closet would do. If we have this problem at 6, I hate to think what 16 will be.
Amy waiting for Daddy to get ready.
Finally, daddy was home and ready. Hannah had to be in the picture.
Hannah doesn't like for the attention to NOT be on her.
Ready for their big date!
Up close of Amy's hair.
Ahh, she is sure getting so big so fast. She is such a little lady.
Amy, you are such a blessing in our life. We love you and you make us so proud of you each and every day. Have a fun "date night" with daddy. Someday you both will look back on these nights with such fond memories. I love you.

What is that in your ear?

I am in the kitchen this evening cleaning up dinner dishes. Chatting away with Rick's girlfriend and Amy. When all of a sudden Hannah comes walking in the kitchen like she was just too cute. I look and say out loud "Hannah what the heck is in your ear?" I walked over to her and this is what I saw.
Do you know what it is???
Rick's lower retainer!!!! LOL So I ran and got the camera, when I came back she was adjusting it. Maybe she had an itch?
Look at that face, she is so proud of herself. I'm not sure if she thinks its an earring or a blue tooth!
This kid cracks me up! Well, I have to say I was glad she put the retainer in her ear. Its been a bit boring around here and I had nothing to blog about all week. I am hoping for my weekend to have some fun filled event in it.

Girls day at the park.

My friends and I planned a play date at the park. We were going to do a craft day, but Tawnya said we should save that for a rainy day. Glad she did, it was so beautiful at the park. first Amy had an eye issue again on Wednesday, so I took her back to the doctor on Thursday morning. They think she has allergies now, so we have some drops to try. Anyway, thats why she is here and not in school. I decided after the appointment I would just keep her out of school and enjoy park time too.

Amy and Hannah having lunch and waiting for the girls to arrive. Check out Amy's face she was watching for Tawnya and Payton so intensely.
No sign of them yet so we walked to the play ground.
Amy is such a great big sister. She was playing with Hannah.
Amy still looking for the girls.....
Yayy, they made it. Sweet baby Payton.
Snack time
Hannah thinks she is so smart climbing up the slide. She almost made it to the top.
Hahaha
Sweet Linkyn, Amy was having so much fun chasing her around the playground and helping her do stuff.
Crawl baby crawl.
Payton loves the swings
and so does Hannah!
Linkyn and Hannah
We only played for about an hour but that tuckered Hannah out. She fell asleep in the car on the way home and didn't wake up until after 4 p.m.. I think I might go to the park EVERYDAY!!!

86 and so beautiful

On February 14 my Nana turned 86! Some of her kids had a party for her on her birthday and we were lucky enough to get home from Vegas in time to celebrate her special day.
Some of you may remember my word for the new year; CHARACTER. Well, I hope I have half the character that nana has/is.
She has strength, originality, compassionate, loving, Godly, forgiving, and example to all, a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

This is only a small portion of the family.
Nana has:
5 children, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
(She was an only child)
The two Kent's talking it up!
My beautiful sister in law Mandy with Hannah.
Character........
My brother Tim with Hannah.
My cousin Diane holding the newest baby to our family, Jackson.
me, with the new baby.

Nana, with 3 of her 5 children.
Aunt Mary, Uncle Kent and Linda (my mom)

Melissa, me, Diane (in front of nana) Mandy and Aunt Ronda.
Nana with 9 of her great grandchildren.
I haven't been to the new digs, so she took me up to her room. She is on the 4th floor and has a beautiful view of the mountains in Burbank.
Hannah and Amy running in the parking garage, I thought this was just too cute.
(Please excuse Hannah no skirt, she peed through her diaper).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA.
THANKS FOR ALWAYS LOVING US UNCONDITIONALLY AND TEACHING US TO BE WHO WE ARE AND NOT WHAT SOMEONE ELSE WANTS US TO BE. YOU ARE TRULY AN INSPIRATION TO ALL.

New Shoes and Glasses woot woot

On my previous post I told you I got 2 new pairs of shoes from Nordstrom's in Vegas, well here they are! I wore the black ones today, so comfy!!

Last week I was having an eye issue and went to the eye doctor, everything was fine, just a few stys on my eye lids at the root of the eye lashes. Anyway, my sun glasses were pretty scratched up from the lake and the dirt. So I got a new pair. Aren't they so cute?

Garth baby!

For Christmas I bought Kent Garth Brooks tickets, the best part about giving a gift like this is I get to go too! So Saturday February 13, 2010 we (Kent and I) headed to Vegas baby. Here we are just the two of us.

Just in case you didn't believe me this is what the backseat looked like.
Thats right NO KIDS! They were with Grandma and Grandpa Cozart.
We arrived in Vegas at the Trump Hotel about 1 p.m., After checking in we walked to the Wynn to pick up our Tickets. They try to cut back on the scalpers so we had to show lots of ID, wrist bands and tickets to get in. I was so excited.
These boots are made for walkin' so thats what I will do, I walked right over to Wynn to watch my Garth Brooks show!
Unfortunately NO cameras or cell phones in the show. I didn't want to take a chance of getting kicked out. So all I can do is tell you it was AMAZING< AWESOME< INCREDIBLE

As I said we stayed at the Trump Hotel. Great place, its a non smoking Hotel so after being over in the Wynn, we walked to our room without the smoke and its not a casino so you don't have that mess either. Very nice and I would definitely stay there again. The other great thing is we were next to the mall so I got 2 new shoes from Nordies. Yayy me. One thing I hate about Vegas is the guys on the street slapping the cards in their hands and trying to get you to take them. Its just annoying. While at that end of the strip, I didn't have one person slapping a card in my face!! Great place!
We had a studio and this first picture is the Kitchen, sink, Stove, Microwave, sub zero mini fridge, Plates, silverware, pots and pans. I didn't use it but if I wanted to it was there.
This is from our window view of the strip looking at the door.
Door looking into the room.
See that little square in the mirror? A flat screen TV! Very cool.
Jacuzzi Tub.
Left side is the shower (big enough for my whole family of 5 to fit in). Right side was the toilet.
Merry Christmas Kent, Hope you enjoyed your gift. I certainly did!!!
