Birthday weekend Saturday night

After spending the day on the lake, we wanted to get some family pictures.  So with my new camera in tow we headed to my parents place.  My mom and dad made BBQ burgers and I made a green salad.  Then we set up the picture taken session.
Then we did a few fun pictures too.
We are missing my sister and her 2 kids and our oldest Rick.  Rick was actually here, but he was with friends for the river float during the day and then they all went to Laughlin in the evening.  My sister was suppose to come and then ended up not being able to get away for the weekend.

This was during the day and I thought it was cool of my girls.

Birthday present early

Friday night, while I was showering, Kent ran to Sam's club and bought me my birthday gift!  He thought he would do it while we were at the river so I could use it the next two days.  We have been looking at this beauty for a while now.  My other camera is awesome, but when we are out in the boat my pictures are blurred or I can't get the shot because it doesn't take quick enough pictures.  Well, this beauty does!!  I had so much fun playing with it.  I actually filled the memory card (over 1500 pictures in less then 2 days).

Now I want to take an online photography class.  So I can better my pictures and learn how to use this baby to the fullest!  (Hey Genn, could you give me the name of the class you took?) ;)

Last Friday

Last Friday was my birthday weekend. (Actual birthday was Monday 8/15/11) Anyway, we headed to our favorite place on earth, the river! My family was there too. We left early Friday morning, (see prior post for why we left early Friday).  We arrived around9:00 a.m., while Kent got the boat ready I ran to the grocery store to get a few things for lunch.  We are such a great team that we were out on the water in no time!  We spent the day with my parents, brother, sister in law, my niece and nephews.
Here is my sis in law Mandy and Hannah. Hannah loves Auntie Mandy!
 My brother.
 My nephew William.

Tim, said okay my kids are doing it, I have to try!
 and he liked it.
 Hanging on the beach.

1st of many blogs...

WOW, I haven't blogged in a while and I have so much to share.  So be prepared for many new post in the next couple of days.
Amy started school last Wednesday and Thursday night we were going to leave for the river.  (My birthday weekend) Anyway, Thursday Amy came home with a project due on Monday.  I started freaking out.  I knew that I didn't have room to bring the craft stuff with us and that we would be way to busy having fun to work on it.  So I made a last minute change to stay home and get the project done Thursday night then leave at 5:00 A.M. on Friday.  So that is what we did.  I am not super excited about how the project turned out, I had big plans but not enough time.
Anyway, Amy had to make herself doing what she did over summer vacation.

Bathing suit, kneeboard, ski, wakeboard and life jacket.  Of coarse we did so much more then that, but we had to narrow it down.
Be back in a bit to blog some more!!

Kleenex please.

I need a box of kleenex and fast!
Today is Amy's first day of 3rd grade.
I just don't understand where the time has gone.  How could she be in 3rd grade already?
I am so excited for her and the new adventures that a new school year brings but I am also sad that she is  growing up.  SOMEBODY, please stop time!
Here she is, ready and excited to get to school.
Hannah was hugging her all morning and telling her she will miss her today.  Guess what?  We both miss her today.  The house is so quiet.  Can't wait for 2:57 p.m.
We had a last minute change at school.  We had a specific teacher and yesterday, Kinder registration was down and the kinder teacher was moved to 3rd grade and the original teacher for Amy was moved back to 6th.  However, the kinder teacher was also Amy's 1st grade teacher.  So we have the same teacher that we had in 1st as our 3rd grade teacher.  Not sure how I feel about this yet.  I will wait and see how the first week or two of school goes, before making any decisions.
Here is her desk.
 Sitting at her new desk!
We went outside to see if any friends were at school yet.  We found Mia and Carly.
Watch out 3rd grade, these are some crazy kids!
One last peek in her classroom before I headed home.
A short walk down memory lane. Sniff sniff
Amy Nicole, I can't believe how big you are.  You are such a special young lady.
May all your hopes and dreams come true.
Good luck today.
I love you!
Now hurry up at be 2:57 p.m. so I can get my baby!!

weekend

The weekends come and go so fast.
On Friday, the girls and I spent the day with my friend Tawnya and her cutie Payton.  We have a posh party to attend in September and the attire is fashionably white. Well, first I am not very fashionable and second I don't usual buy white.  With kids and all, white just doesn't seem to stay white for long. I figured Tawnya could help me find something that looks nice.  Since I am very picky and criticize everything about me. Anyway, we headed over to Nordstroms Rack in the Ontario Mills Mall.  We both (Tawnya and myself) tried on so many dresses.  Unfortunately nothing either fit or screamed love it.  So we came home pretty empty handed.  I say pretty empty because my girls got a couple of new things.  Only I came home with nothing. I was trying on a couple of dresses and Tawnya took this picture of the girls with her phone.

We had such a fun day, laughing.  Thanks Tawnya and Paton for the fun time. Looking forward to the second attempt with you this week.!!!
Friday night after dinner Kent took me to Dos Lagos to see if we could find anything there.  I found a dress at Windsors but they didn't have my size.
Saturday, Kent worked for a couple of hours in the morning.  When he came home we were going to go to the mall.  However, we ahem, me was having an off day with the girls.  They were just not behaving and I finally put Hannah down for a nap.  Then I went and got my nails done.  So late afternoon everyone was back on track, I made dinner and then we headed to Victoria Gardens.  I found a cute dress at JC Penny's, again not in my size! UGH, I am feeling very frustrated by now.  I have lost almost 50 lBS and can't find a dress to fit! WTH?  Could you imagine me trying to find a dress 50 lbs heavier?  I think I would have to back out of the party! Anyway, I took the dress to the register and the girl said she could order it for me in my size! WOOT WOOT.  It should be here in 4 -7 days!  Now I need to find shoes and accessories.   Oh, and hope the size I ordered will fit!  I ordered the next size up from the one I tried on, Kent said he could have zipped the one I had on but it would have pulled and not be comfy.  Hope he isn't lying to me. Oh best part dress is on sale for get this $34.00!!! Woot woot.  I will post a picture when I get it.
Sunday, we got up and went to church.  We haven't been in a few weeks and it felt good to go.  I saw a little girl at Knott's when cute hair so I attempted to do it on Hannah's hair.
Where did my baby go?
 Cute Cute Cute!
Rick made me a swing in High school for my front porch, after several years of the sun beating on it, the swing was falling apart and just couldn't be used any longer.  I have been checking out these chairs at Lowe's all summer with hopes of buying them and taking the swing down.  Kent bought them for me yesterday and I just love them!  We took the swing down and Kent took the part of that Rick laser cut "Cozart Family" and we will hang it above the chairs.  I asked Rick if he wanted to fix the chair or should I turn it into firewood.  He said he doesn't care.  So we will see what happens to the swing.
Happy Monday friends!
Off to work tomorrow, haven't been in a couple of weeks.
I am looking forward ti getting out of the house!

Just Knott's

HI!
How are you?  We are good.
Summer is almost over and we have been busy. What?  Summer is almost over you asked?  Well, it is if your child goes to school.  We start school on Wednesday 8/10/11.  I know its stupid but I can't do anything about it.  The schools keep changing the date because of State testing.  They want the kids to be done with the 2nd semester so that the state test scores are higher.  Why don't they change the dates of the state testing?  Because now we get to pay to air condition the schools in August and when its too hot the kids stay inside for the entire day, yep recess and lunch could be in their classroom.  I know its dumb!
Anyway, we went to Knott's on Thursday with friends for Gabbi's birthday.
Gabbi, Devin, MaryJane, Natalie.  (Gabbis is my friends daughter)
Watching the big swing.  Then 4 of the 6 wanted to ride. So they did.
 My sweet little trooper.
Carly and Amy on the big swing.
It was HOT, the girls having a little snack and some water to cool off.  They they went on the roaring rapids.
I have never been to a show at Knott's, they had Snoopy on Ice, so we decided to get out of the heat and watch the show.
It was GREAT!  The tricks they did were amazing.
 All the girls liked it.
Again so cute.  I would pay money to see a show like this.
It was starting to get dark and I left our sweatshirts in the car.  So while Michelle took the 6 girls on more rides, Hannah and I went to the car.  On the way back to meet them I thought this poor kid has been here ALL day and has not been on any ride!  She doesn't complain she just goes with the flow and sits in her stroller.  So I took her on a couple of rides. Just me and her.
Mater f fact, I think when Amy goes back to school me and Hannah will have a couple of trips to Knott's during the day.
 She is so good.
Hannah took a picture of me. Not liking the chin, but thats me.
So excited to go up in the balloon.
We stayed until closing I think we finally left at 10:30 p.m., this was one tired baby.
 Or maybe not!  HAHAHA
Awesome day with fun friends.
Happy birthday Gabbi!!!
