Kent and I have been looking for months for a forward facing car seat for Hannah. You might think this is an easy job, but it is actually quite difficult. We bought a cheap model for the ranger and it has been in my car. I hate it! Its so hard to buckle and its just what it was CHEAP. You want them to be comfortable and safe all at the same time. I have been looking at the Britax for a long time, they are expensive and we just were not sure if we wanted to spend that much money right now. Well, I needed to go to Toys R Us for a few things and we looked again at car seats. We bought this one Britax Boulevard and the color is Meghan. I love it already. It has true side impact and some other super great features. Can't wait to drive her in it tomorrow.

My girls
Hannah is 11 months old here and I forgot I took these pictures to post. They are a couple of weeks old. My parents bought Amy & Hannah the LAFD shirts but in Hannah's size they only had blue. She looks like a little boy, matter of fact she looks like Rick did at this age!
I truly believe my girls are part monkey. Here is that Hannah climbing again to get what she wants!
BUSTED!!!
Good thing it was mommy and not Amy since she was getting into Amys things.

Memorial Weekend at the river
Yayy, summer is here and that means river here we come! So I forgot my camera at home for our first river trip of the year. These are a few I took with Kent's cell phone. It looks like just Hannah and Rick were there, but we were all there! My friends Wendy and Danielle took pics with their cameras so hopefully they will forward me some. Hint, Hint.
Hannah loved the water and the sand. She played ALL day long. She was such a good girl.

She didn't mind the life jacket and she loved the boat ride. She giggled the whole time. When Amy was this age she sleep as soon as we started the engine on the boat.

Cute, Cute , Cute!

Rick was missing his girlfriend. Maybe she can come the next time.

This accident just happened. Poor guy his truck is down in the ditch and the trailer is sitting sideways on HWY 40.

Just glad his trailer didn't roll and break apart everywhere. At least they all go home and still have all there belongings.

I know pretty sad First river trip pictures, I promise to bring the camera next time.
Back of the police car?

Wow, its been a week
I can't believe its been a week since my last post. I have been very busy here. Last week Hannah was sick with a high fever, so on FRiday we spent 2 hours at Kaiser and came home empty handed. I thought she had an ear infection, but the MD I saw said he didn't think so. She is really sick. She is tugging at her right ear still, no fever but tons of green slime coming out her nose. Her eyes are droopy, her throat is red and she is hoarse. Poor sick baby. I don't know whether to go back to Kaiser or go to my old pediatrician. I found baby nose drops so Kent put that in her nose tonight and I suctioned a bunch of yuck out. When I laid her don't she actually sounded like she could breathe slightly through her nose.
We are suppose to head to the river this weekend so I really need her to feel better.
Amy is doing great, she is looking forward to summer vacation. She is excited about starting first grade soon. Hard to believe my little Amy will be 6!
Rick is Rick, and still dating Nicole. (I really like her so I hope it lasts.)
Kent and I are hanging in there. He is working a lot and then helps me with sick baby and homework with Amy. I am sure lucky to have him around. I may not say it enough and I might complain about what he doesn't do sometimes. But all in all I am a lucky girl and our kids are so lucky to have such a great father.

One Lucky momma
Look how lucky I am:
Hannah made me the flowers in the upper left hand corner the petals are her hand prints and the card below it has her orange hand prints. (Lauren is so good to me!) The pink card in the middle is from Kent and the movie is from Rick. The butterfly is from Amy, she made it at school and the wings are her fingers. The purple Ipod is from Kent and the red heart and kisses Amy made at Sunday school this morning. Life is good!
After Church Kent took us to Rodrigo's for Brunch. I wonder what the rest of the day will be?!
I'll get it myself!
I keep the diaper bag on the couch in the living room and apparently Hannah must have wanted some Cheerios. She moved that pink toy over to the couch and climbed up on it. She then pulled the diaper bag over and reached into it to get the container out.
BUSTED! If you look closely she has the container open just a bit and the other stuff from the diaper bag scattered about.
That little stinker is now shacking the container and getting the cheerios out!!!

My first pet
Ok so this picture doesn't match the title, but it was suppose to be at the end of the post and again I messed up. Any how, I just thought this was too cute of Miss. Hannah in the bath. If you look close you can see how she floods my kitchen.
My first pet...
For the week before the fair Amy talked about how she will win a fish at the Highland country fair. Well her determination paid off and she won. However, instead of bring a fish home you get a coupon for a free gold fish at a pet store in Ontario. Well, we decided that by the time we drove to Ontario and got the "free" fish we would have spent $30 dollars. So Sunday night we went to pet-co in Mira Loma. Bought a fish bowl, food, gravel and two small gold fish for $15.26. We get home Kent and Amy get the fish in their new home, fed and all is well. Here is the picture of Amy with Elizabeth and Taylor. Look at that smile.
Monday, morning comes and I go into Amy's room and Taylor is NOT looking so hot. Her eyes and mouth are open and she is not swimming. Elizabeth is swimming circles around Taylor. So I proceed to tell Amy I think her fish is dead. She says no that is how she sleeps. Well pretty soon poor taylor is floating on top of the water. I tell Amy again Your fish is dead. Well, at that moment she loses it and when I say loses it, she LOST it! Crying hysterically with alligator tears "my first pet is dead!" Now it's late and I need to get to work she is just beside herself. I can honestly say I have never seen that girl cry like this. So I am telling her I will get her a new fish tonight after work. She could not stop hugging me and crying. Now I am crying because I feel so bad for her. Oh yea, while this is going on Hannah is crying in her crib. So I tell Amy we have to get rid of the fish, well she wanted me to go outside and bury it. Good thing I am a quick thinker and said oh you don't bury fish you flush them down the toilet so they can go to their natural home in the sea. She then agreed but didn't want to be a part of that. So bye bye Taylor! NOT the morning I was hoping for.
So after work I rushed to Hannah and to Amy. I suggested we check on the other fish before we head to the store again just in case I needed two fish instead of one. Amy wanted to do the checking and thank goodness the fish was ALIVE. So off to the store we went and here is the new fish "Swimmy". Happy again. From now on I told Kent its his job to check on the fish. I can't handle that emotion again.

Highland Country Fair
Highland has a fair every year that the PTA puts on. We signed up to work Amy's classrooms booth which was golf. Fair was from 4-8 but Kent didn't get home from work until 6 p.m. and he ate dinner and we left. So we were only there for an hour and a half.

Ahh, the cast is off!!!
Happy happy Day...... Today the cast came off. Here is Oscar removing the cast.
Cutting the cotton, man did this feel good.
Hahaha, its still orange. You can see were I was able to reach in with alcohol and clean the orange off around my hand and fingers.
Doctor's initials are still on my arm from a month ago.
I am still bruised, my thumb and wrist are VERY tender. It actually hurts to move my thumb. She said I still need to rest it and not to lift the baby or carry anything with my left arm. I am now in a brace that I can take on and off!! I can't wait to take a shower and have two hands to wash my hair!!!
Amy was such a big girl. She still had a few stitches and her skin was doing something weird with them. So Oscar took them out and she didn't even make a peep! She watched him remove them. I didn't take a picture because I was afraid that would make her upset, since I could tell she was a bit nervous about him removing them. Her thumb looks awesome and she can fully extend it with no pain or problems.
