Just Knott's

HI!
How are you?  We are good.
Summer is almost over and we have been busy. What?  Summer is almost over you asked?  Well, it is if your child goes to school.  We start school on Wednesday 8/10/11.  I know its stupid but I can't do anything about it.  The schools keep changing the date because of State testing.  They want the kids to be done with the 2nd semester so that the state test scores are higher.  Why don't they change the dates of the state testing?  Because now we get to pay to air condition the schools in August and when its too hot the kids stay inside for the entire day, yep recess and lunch could be in their classroom.  I know its dumb!
Anyway, we went to Knott's on Thursday with friends for Gabbi's birthday.
Gabbi, Devin, MaryJane, Natalie.  (Gabbis is my friends daughter)
Watching the big swing.  Then 4 of the 6 wanted to ride. So they did.
 My sweet little trooper.
Carly and Amy on the big swing.
It was HOT, the girls having a little snack and some water to cool off.  They they went on the roaring rapids.
I have never been to a show at Knott's, they had Snoopy on Ice, so we decided to get out of the heat and watch the show.
It was GREAT!  The tricks they did were amazing.
 All the girls liked it.
Again so cute.  I would pay money to see a show like this.
It was starting to get dark and I left our sweatshirts in the car.  So while Michelle took the 6 girls on more rides, Hannah and I went to the car.  On the way back to meet them I thought this poor kid has been here ALL day and has not been on any ride!  She doesn't complain she just goes with the flow and sits in her stroller.  So I took her on a couple of rides. Just me and her.
Mater f fact, I think when Amy goes back to school me and Hannah will have a couple of trips to Knott's during the day.
 She is so good.
Hannah took a picture of me. Not liking the chin, but thats me.
So excited to go up in the balloon.
We stayed until closing I think we finally left at 10:30 p.m., this was one tired baby.
 Or maybe not!  HAHAHA
Awesome day with fun friends.
Happy birthday Gabbi!!!

River here we come.

Last weekend we headed to the river again.
The weather was so strange in the desert.
We had thunder, lightening, wind, rain and rainbows. Oh, hot and muggy too.

One of many rainbows.
Playing with the camera in the car.
I was bugging here, she was trying to play on her itouch.
 Another very pretty rainbow.
Fast forward to Saturday morning.  The weather was so beautiful.  No wind!  The sky was blue.
Guess who came along on this trip?
Yep, ricky did.  This is his first time trying to knee board.  I think he was getting tired of his little sister doing everything and showing off.
 And he's up!
This is Nick, Ricky's friend.  He came along last year on a river trip.  He had the knee board last year. He is the reason we bought one.  Anyway, he is pretty good at jumping, 360's and shredding.  However, he was impressed that AMy was so good, he couldn't believe she stands onthe knee board and surfs it.  They (Rick and Nick) tried but couldn't. =)
Amy getting ready to wake board.
She is such a little studette!!  I am so proud of her.
 Part of the river gang.
Back row, Heather and Vanessa.  They are Kory's friends and have never been to the river.
Front row, Kory, my daddy and mom
Left to right, Scott (my sisters BF), Nick, Rick and Kent.
Tami and her girls, umm, I mean MY girls!  She thinks they are hers.
My camera on Saturday was running low on batteries, so I didn't get to take a lot of pictures.  Kent took all the kids out tubing, knee boarding and cliff jumping.  Apparently the twins loved every minute of it.  So glad we were able to make some new memories for them.

This kid is such a trooper. On Friday while eating lunch, she tipped her chair backwards it fell and she banged her chin on the seat of the chair.  Sliced her chin open and tok a hugh chuck out of her tongue.  Her tongue is still swollen, she has a lisp she has NEVER had before because of her tongue.  She was a good girl injured and all.
 Sunday, the rain is coming.
My sister and her family went home Sunday morning.  My parents went to breakfast with them. So we were the only boat going out.  The weather was windy and stromy.  we didn't even find a beach.  We hung out in the boat, everyone just played right from the boat.
With Rick coming, I didn't have to drive the boat.  So I was able to watch my hubby ski and take pictures.  I loved it.
 Yep, thats my man!
 Shred it baby!
The wind starting blowing pretty good, it was getting difficult to ski, wake board or knee board. Besides they were all exhausted from such a fun day before.
So Rick wanted to do some cliff jumping before we left.
He's yelling down to Nick to come on up, he could jump from here.  Nick wasn't so much into the cliff jumping.
Rick kept going he was going to the high jump!
See those wholes, that is where Rick jumped from.
Then they went to a smaller cliff so Amy could join in too.  This was more Nicks style.
Then Rick grabbed Amy and said come on baby lets do one more together. So Amy followed along. Nick got into the boat.
Rick jumped from the higher peak and Amy jumped from the lower one.  They went together.  It was so cute!  I switched to video, so no pictures of the actual jump.
Thanks everyone for a GREAT weekend.  Can't wait to go again!

Amy's new do

Amy has been wanting her hair CUT for a long time.
So I finally was able to get her appointment with Linda last week.  She took off about 4 inches.
Amy wants it shorter but dad is not so sure about that.
 Looks fresh!
Ha! I didn't even take one from the front!
Anyway, she cried when we got home because she wants it ABOVE her shoulders.
Daddy is thinking about it this week and is suppose to let us know if its okay.
What do you think?  Should she be ALLOWED to cut her hair as short as she wants too?
Or should dad control that?
I personally think if she wants to cut it, its her hair and she is 8 and should make that choice. =)

Visit with Nana

Last Friday we went to visit with my Nana.  This is my mom's mom and she lives in an assistant living home in Burbank.  She loves it there. My cousin Lori is visiting from Texas, she planned a day where some of us cousins would meet and take Nana out to lunch.  I haven't seen Lori in a long time, more then a year so when they included me, I was excited to go.
This is Nana when she opened her door to her "apartment."
Hannah and Madie.  Madie is my cousin Rachel's daughter, that makes them second cousins, right? Madie's dad just left for Afghanistan.  He will be deployed for 7 mos.
The group!  I look like an amazon woman.  What the heck?
Me and Diane (Diane is my cousin, she is 2 months older then me.  I make sure she knows it too.) are standing
Lori, Amy Nana, Hannah, Rachel and Madie
Sweet Madie, seriously could this baby get any cuter??
 We took Nana to Islands.
Diane and Nana
Hannah and Lori, Hannah kept calling Lori Grandma!  It was so funny.
Lori whats like what the heck girl??
 Lori, Hannah and me
Me and Amy, my face is looking fat from this angle. UGH.
 Rachel and Diane.
Thanks girls, for letting me tag along with you guys.  Thanks Rachel for driving us too.  We had a blast and it was so good to see Nana.  Lori, you are a riot! Seriously, I am flying to Texas this winter to visit you!!

funny baby and Mt Rubidoux

Last Thursday, Hannah waited to long to go pee.  She NEVER has an accident but I guess she was having too much fun or something.  Anyway, instead of calling for me she took her pants off and grabbed some new and rode out to me with the CLEAN ones on her head.
Hi mom, I pee-peed my pants so here are some new ones!
 HAHAHAH
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, last Thursday we walked up Mount Rubidoux again.  It is so pretty up there.
 Hmm, Smog??
 My girls.
Can you tell I love the flag?
Daddy and the girls walked up the steps to get a closer look at the cross.
Its really pretty.  I think if we were around I would like to go to the Easter Sunday service up here.
The girls were having so much fun running off some energy.
 Jump baby jump
 HAHAHA mid air.
I love when the girls hold hands and walk together.
 On the walk down
 So pretty
Anyone what to go with us next time?
