Ah, Christmas day or should I say afternoon. So after we had a VERY relaxing morning we drove to Simi Valley to spend Christmas with my family.

Christmas Eve with the Cozarts

Every year we rotate Christmas eve and Christmas day between both families. This year Christmas Eve was with the Cozarts. We went over to Kent's sisters house for dinner and to exchange the gifts we gave them. (They do the rest Christmas day, only bummer is we can't see what everyone gets). Kelly made a wonderful traditional Christmas dinner.

Oats and sugar oh so sweet, its a very tasty treat!

All you need is Oats, sugar, glitter and a jar.

I let Amy make the whole thing, she was so excited.

So on Christmas eve she will sprinkle the mixture on the front lawn to help the reindeer find our house. Plus the oats gives them some energy for their night of travel.

Thursday, December 17, 2009 the first graders at Amy's school sang for their parents.

Dr. Pearson Christmas party

Saturday night was my works Christmas party at the mission inn in Riverside. Because of the rain is was very crowded inside. Usually the restaurants are on the patio but they were in moved in for the rain. Here we are in the presidential lounge as you can see standing room only.

Us girls gave Dr. Pearson a tool box with a gift card to Amazon. com and moose munch. I think he liked it!! What do you think.

Stuff!

Amy had a school project that we finally finished and she took back to school.

Its the "All about me" poster.

Turned out pretty cute.

Yesterday, after dropping Amy off at school Hannah and I headed to Simi Valley to shop with my mom and sister. So this was us arriving at the mall. Tami called shotgun so mom had to sit in the back!

Our Christmas tree with gifts finally wrapped and under it! So far Hannah has totally left the gifts alone. She only has tugged on the ornaments the first couple of days and now doesn't even care about it.

Ugh, our bar/ pool table room as a leak or two or three! The water is coming from the ground up and there is no water pooling outside. Seems bad?

I have to keep picking up the towels ringing them out in a bucket tossing in the dryer and lay more towels down. Not so much fun...... Oh, and look at the curtains, they will need to come down and get washed and that means ironed too? I don't iron. :(

I wish you could see the water on this towel. The towel couldn't absorb any more water so the water was actually pooled on top of it. BTW, Amy thought it was hilarious.

Costa Mesa resident, 49, loved to tell jokes — usually laughing at a few of his own — his family says.

The Costa Mesa father of two and avid bodysurfer “had the memory of an elephant,” said his ex-wife, Jodi Watkins. It was something family members said they came to depend on for information.

Watkins was killed in a car crash Saturday in Manteca, where he was visiting his father for Thanksgiving. He was 49.

Watkins grew up in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Avila Beach and ultimately settled in Costa Mesa in high school. He graduated from Costa Mesa High School and went on to graduate from USC. He coached youth baseball and soccer and played in a local rugby team.

His 8-year-old daughter, Molly, said she loved watching “The Biggest Loser” with her dad and when he took her shopping for clothes.

His son, Brooks, 15, plays water polo at Estancia High School.

Watkins is preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah, and survived by his parents, Chuck and Thea; son, Brooks, daughter, Molly; brothers Chip, Marcus, Kevin and Jason; sisters Peggy, Brandy and Jenny.


In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Children of Tim Watkins Memorial Fund at Farmers and Merchants Bank, 1750 E. 17th St. in Santa Ana.

Happy Birthday Kent.

We celebrated Kent's birthday last Sunday with the family, so today was just going to be a low key day. We went to church and breakfast and just when Kent thought he was going to get to take a nap. Nope, the workers got a flat in Thousand Oaks so he had to drive there to rescue them. Still not home yet!

I thought this was cute of Hannah, I finally got rid of the highchair, I was tired of wheeling it around the kitchen. I bought this hanging chair like the one I keep in my car for restaurants and it works great!!

We had a funeral to go to yesterday and I wanted to something different in Amy's hair. So here it is. I think its cute!

We decided to go to the mall after the services to get the girls picture with santa. Hannah was not about it! Santa doesn't look so happy either! LOL!

Happy Birthday Rick. Can't believe it's been 19 years since I had you. You are a wonderful and precious young man. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see what the future will bring. I know you can succeed in anything you choose.

Thanksgiving

So we went to Ocotillo for Thanksgiving again. I wasn't really that excited to go this year. We left fairly late on Wednesday, so we just got camp set up and sat by the fire for a while before going to bed. Thanksgiving day we went on a couple of rides and cooked dinner in the motorhome. Friday, we meet up with some friends and rode around a bit. Amy had her first head on collision on top of a hill with another quad. Luckily, they were not going to fast but Amy did break her key off into her ignition with her chest protector. Shortly after that our friends boy fell he went over the handle bars and the quad flipped over him. He was ok too. However, for me I was just ready to pack things up and go home. I didn't enjoy that part of the trip and truthfully didn't feel like riding much after that. I will never forget the sound of the quads hitting. Just thankful that the kids were alright. Also on Friday my cousin and her family joined us, it was good to see them. Saturday Kent and Amy rode a bit and we packed up in the afternoon and came home.

Diane and Sean cam out to see us on Friday and spent the night. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the greatest this year. Lots of wind on Friday and some sprinkles on Saturday.

I took some shrimp and cocktail sauce with us out on a ride. Hannah LOVED it. She was double/ triple dipping and sucking all the cocktail sauce off her shrimp.
