Birthday Bash 2010

7th annual birthday bash for Amy and Hannah.
I had the girls swim party on Saturday. They had a blast. I believe we had about 50 people here. It was so fun. Party extravaganza started at 1:00 p.m for lunch and ended about 10:00 p.m. We made hot dogs, brats and hot links, PW pasta salad, PW potato salad and PW baked beans. My mother in law also made her potato salad (its truly the best!) Chips, dip, cake and ice cream!! Anyway, the swimming pool on the bar I placed on the salads in it and packed ice around it. It was a great idea I had. The salads stayed cold ALL day!! Plus, it looked cute for the "swim party".

Costco birthday cake, simply yummy!!
It was such a nice day, the weather was perfect. It wasn't to hot.
Birthday girl #2!
Some more of the clan.
Jordan and Carly catching a few rays of sunshine.
Another group huddled by the food. Looks like a serious conversation.

Kilee's Graduation Party

Friday was very busy, after Amy got out of school, we ran home and gave her a sponge bath and redid her hair and headed to Simi Valley for my niece's High School graduation party.
We left her right at 4:30 met Kent off the 57 fwy and headed on out. Traffic wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, we made in to the Arena at 6:45 p.m.
This is what Amy looked like going to school, but I couldn't leave her out of the post. She loves side ponytails, they are very 80's to me, so we try to give them a bit of a twist.

My mom told me she use to put my hair in 3 piggy tails because I had such fine and wispy hair. So I tried it on Hannah for the party and I think she looks ADORABLE!! My parents said she looks just like me, when I was this age. Hopefully my mom will find a picture of me so I can post it! However when you are the 3rd child you don't get the same attention/ pictures as the older two.
HAHAHA so cute!!
So the Arena is a bar and grill in Simi Valley. Kent got busted from the bartender for having Hannah on the bar. Oops.
They have a dance cage, which my girls proceeded to climb in and get their groove on. Of coarse Kent told them that cages are bad and they should NEVER go in one again. LOL
That didn't work, we couldn't get the two of them out of the cage. Could we be in trouble in our future?
My mom, with Hannah, Rick and Samantha (My brothers daughter)
Kilee, the graduate! Isn't she beautiful? I love this kid.
Can't believe next week she will be out of High School and on to a new adventure in her life.
I filled this cup with grapes, she was a happy baby.
My brother Tim and Kent deep in conversation.
Wonder what they were talking about?
The party was late 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. this was one tired, dancing crazy baby.
My sister (Kilee's mom) and sweet tired Hannah.
Thanks for a night of fun, we got home about 11:30p.m.

The rest of the weekend was spent getting the house ready for the girls birthday bash this coming Saturday. Plus, Hannah was sick. She woke up Friday with a cough by that night she had a fever that lasted until this morning. She is feeling better now, just very whiny.

Tooth fairy came again.

The toothless wonder. Amy has been working on the other central tooth to come out. Yesterday at school, her wish came true. She pulled it out! She wanted to loss it at school cause they give you a cool tooth case to store it in.

I think she looks so cute. She can't say Christmas and today she had trouble with her cereal. the milk didn't want to stay in her mouth!! hahaha Where did my baby go? She will be 7 in just a few shorts weeks. Oh and she is working on another loose tooth!!

Switching the beds.

The new bedding for our new bed. I love it. The company I ordered it from www.linensbargin.com is great. I highly recommend it to you. They are out of Riverside so you get it right away. The prices are unbeatable!!

This is my old set that was on my old bed in the house. I love this comforter and so I took it out to the motorhome along with the memory foam from our old bed. Man or man, I am looking forward to the next trip out. This bed is so comfortable now!! Plus, I think it looks nice too.

First river trip of the season, Memorial day weekend!

Friday, we headed to the river. Bullhead City to be exact! We didn't suffer to much from the terrible accident on the 91 fwy. It added about 45 minutes to an hour to our drive. Here is Hannah watching a movie on the way. She is so funny when we get in the excursion she yells 3-4, 3-4. However, what she really means is 2-4 when changes the front and back speakers to split control! LOL.

Saturday, when we woke up the weather was very windy. So we decided to launch on the river about 10:30 a.m. We went down to the new sand bar (at least new to us). We were anchored by the monster boat which was awesome cause we got 3 free monsters!
These knuckle heads, well the one in the middle Chad works with Kent. He tried to launch his boat with us and the engine wouldn't start so him and his friends jumped on our boat. We first went to Pirates Cove for a bit. That place is hopping! Then we headed to the sandbar.
The guy on Kents' left is Will, he was one of Chads friends.
Amy sunbathing.
Hannah warming up from the river water! Burr it was cold.
The gang.
On the way back to the launch ramp, there were some kids jumping from this mountain. So we pulled over to let the boys jump.
Climbing down to the jumping spot.
And away they go!
I think we finally arrived back to the house about 6:00 p.m. Awesome first day on the water!

Sunday, when we woke up. more wind! So we decided to do the same thing launch on the river. We had heard the day before the waves in Havasu where 6 feet and that a few boats had sunk. We didn't want any part of that on Mohave, so we steered clear.
We found a nice sandy beach and the girls played.
and swam.
and looked cute.
Kent and I relaxing on the beacj.
Lunch time.
Then we decide to head up river, we went all the way to the dam. We shut the engine off and floated for the longest time. It was so fun and relaxing. The girls played in the water and kicked their feet and enjoyed the sun.
Looking at The Riverside Hotel. We saw a few people we new as we drifted and floated.
When we got back to the launch ramp, we saw this boat. I watched them get it out of the water (while I was holding our boat and waiting for Kent to come back with the car) I kept thinking, why would he take his prop off before he got the boat out of the water? Well after closer examination and zoom on my camera. The prop is on, seems like this ding dong hit something on the river. Click to enlarge, its pretty funny!!!
Happy Memorial day. Thank you to all the service men and women who risk their lives everyday to get me and my family a safe place to live!! You are an amazing group of people and we honor you not only today but everyday!

Naked Hannah

Sorry about the absence in my blogging, it just seems like everyone has been so busy. I love to blog and actually find it very enjoyable. However, lately I just can't get my act together. Hopefully this will be the start of regular blogs again.
So a couple of weeks ago Hannah was calling me to come get her in the morning. walk in and she has her Pj's almost completely off. By the time I returned with my camera she had it COMPLETELY off. This Kid is so funny!!

Pj's in hand!!
This little cutie will be 2 in just a couple of weeks. I am not sure where the time has gone, but I want it back!! She is my baby!! 2!! Really?? :(
