Hawaii Anniversary trip

We have landed in Oahu!!!
I took over 200 pictures while we were gone, so bare with me. This is one long post!

Wednesday 11/11/09 this is the view from our hotel balcony.
Wednesday night on the beach.
Thursday 11/12/09 We walked from out hotel to the mall to catch the public transportation.
We went to Pearl Harbor.
This is so beautiful, moving and emotional.
After Pearl harbor and riding the bus we had lunch at the mall and came back to the hotel put our swimsuits on and went to the beach. It was so beautiful.
The famous Waikiki Beach
Friday 11/13/09 we got up and took a bus to Hanauma Bay to snorkel, the surf was pretty crazy so the water wasn't as clear as it should have been for snorkeling.
Looking down on Hanauma Bay
Our driver to the bay told us of this Catamaran Sail boat that takes you out on a hour and a half boat ride with unlimited drinks for $25.00 bucks, but if you mention his name they will do it for $20.00. Thanks Ike this was awesome. There was 3 workers and Captain Krash that seriously work the boat, bring you drinks, music, dancing and lots of drinking.

The view on the boat ride back into the beach. It was beautiful.
Me and Kent
After the boat we were walking back to the hotel and the park had these awesome trees. They grow addition limbs down to help support the heavy limbs that grown out.
Still Friday, we booked a dinner at the Bali restaurant. So we could use our hotel dining credit. This was so delicious. I had the BEST prime rib ever and an amazing mozzarella and tomato salad and fresh asparagus lightly grilled!!
Saturday 11/14/09 we rented a car and drove around the entire Island. It poured on the North Shore so the hiking trails that we wanted to see were closed. We visited the Dole Plantation.
(Don't be jealous Rick of the train ride).
This might sound dumb but I didn't really know how pineapple grew. Its a bush. I thought it was a tree. hahahaha
Pineapple plantation.
Kent checking where we were in the maze at the plantation. We completed it in 45 minutes.
Me just goofing around. I think Kent was still looking at the map and I was getting bored.

One of our many stopping points to look at the view.
Everyone said you must eat from the Shrimp trucks while on the North Shore. We were told Giovannis was the best.
Yes, this is truly the Shrimp truck!! You walk up order it they cook it on this truck.
This is what Kents shrimp scampi looked like. I didn't order any because I don't like peeling the shells off.
Another fabulous point of interest.
Windy!!!
Taking in the view.
So we drove back on this road to hike and came across this sign. Kent still wanted to hike, but I said no way.
Just past the sign this is what the trail looks like. It was tempting.
and yet another stopping spot.
Makapu'u Point
There was a pave trail to this point and beyond. We walked the entire trail and it was amazing.
Halona Blowhole

This was beautiful.
View from our Hotel balcony on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday 11/15/09 Good bye Oahu!! Hope to see you again.
Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband and friend. I love you and look forward to many more anniversaries.

Hurricane Hannah as landed.

How can someone this cute cause so much trouble?

Nice eyes baby.
I have never had a baby drag the toilet paper from the holder around the house.
But then there was Hannah....

I guess she had fun. That little stinker did it again today! Better yet daddy just yelled for me to come and look and apparently for me to clean it up!! He was too busy watch football.

P.S. don't mind the pile of clothes in the back ground I was doing laundry and had a pile to separate.

Anyone want a Tattoo?

Hmm, I can't believe I haven't posted this yet. So my son bought himself a tattoo kit and has decided that he wants to be a tattoo artist. So he is now practicing on himself! He originally had RB is sexy, to which Amy asked him if he wrote on himself with a marker. So after a whole lot of criticism from people, he decided to cover that with a triangle. However its not really a triangle because its not 3 even sides. I think its either a shark fin or a sail. UGH!

Need I say more????
Pray for me......

RB is for Ricky bobby
The triangle and now there is a matching one.

Amy and the mud!

So about 30 minutes after Amy was at school in her pretty pink dress and white leggings, she fell. She fell in the mud! Her teacher called and said "your pretty girl in pink is not so pretty covered in mud." So I left work and picked up clothes for her and I should have grabbed my camera. (Note to self always bring your camera.) Anyway, I helped her get out of the muddy clothes and into some dry warm ones and couldn't resist bringing them home and taking a picture before I attempted to get the mud out. The picture doesn't do justice for how much mud was on her. Her shoes, socks, dress, leggings, hands and arms.

The bleach got the mud off the dress but I think the leggings are headed for the trash. They look a shade lighter then they are here after bleaching them.

So big so fast!

Turn around and their one, turn around and their two, turn around and they are doing their own hair at six! Wednesday Amy asked if she could do her own hair for school. We were doing ok on time so I thought it would be ok and if she couldn't do it, I would have enough time to help her do it again. Well here is what she did and I didn't have to redo, help or anything! Maybe she has a future in hairstyling.

Way to go my little pumpkin head!!

The people next to us had a chucky doll tied to their rhino. Hannah thought it was a kid and kept going over to it to play. It was so funny. I should have taken a picture of it.
Hi momma.
Linda was trying to get everyone together for a picture. The kids and the parents were to busy walking so I took one of her and Hannah. Look at the dust particles in the air. Gross!
Wendy, Justin and Amy.
Hahaha. I couldn't get anyone to put their face in next to me!
Waiting in line at the pirate ship for candy. Must not have been very exciting!
Some little ladybug is getting very sleepy.
Me, Wendy and Hannah.
Thanks everyone for another fun trip. We so enjoy the company of our friends. Already looking forward to next year!
