Father Daughter Dance

Ahh, tonight is the Father Daughter dance at Amy's school.  I am sure this is the first of many.  With two daughters and all, Kent will be busy.  Amy was so excited we had to buy a new dress and everything, so this is what she picked.  I think its so sweet.  Hope they have a good time.

Amy's tent

Amy is feeling much better, so Saturday night she made a tent for her and Hannah.  They played in for quite awhile.  It's so cute that they are starting to play.  Amy actually slept in it  saturday night.  She looked so cute!

Can't a girl get any sleep around here???

So can anyone tell me when a mom can get her beauty sleep?  Between having a 7 month old who loses her pacifier in the night and cries out for help, a teenager/adult (he is 18 and all) who doesn't come home until all hours of the night and a husband that is working crazy all night hours and still getting up at 4 a.m. to get back to work.  I haven't had a 6-8 hour stretch of sleep in a good year and a half.  I get up so many times a night to either bed check, find a pacifier in the dark or make sure the doors are all closed and locked for the tenth time that by the time I am asleep the alarm is going off. ugh!     Or like now, when my poor workaholic husband is snoring so loud that I can't fall asleep even if I wanted too. Double ugh!!    So does the worrying ever stop and allow us to sleep at some point? I think maybe its time for Kent and I to go away by ourselves and not have to worry about kids for one night, then I think doesn't matter where I am with or without kids they are ALWAYS on my mind.

Amy or superman?

I forgot to post that on Saturday Kent took Amy on her quad to an area that she likes to ride.  It has "kiddie hills".  Anyway, he was watching her get braver and braver with every turn and hill and thought to himself  "she is getting really cocky and going to eat it".   Well, not long after the thought she ate it! She hit the bump, pulled the brake and over the handle bars she went Superman style! Nose plant in the dirt, broke her visor on her helmet and cried for about 5 minutes.  Kent said ok lets get back to camp.  Amy said no way hopped on her quad and rode some more.  That girl is a tough one.

This post is for Kent, he was looking at my blog and asked if he was even camping with us.  So just to let you all know, yes, Kent was in ocotillo with us and here's the proof!!

New Years riding in Ocotillo

Here are a bunch of pictures from our trip to Ocotillo.  we had a blast we were there Wednesday to Saturday night.   Hope you enjoy the pictures. Oh, they are out of order AGAIN!! I hope someday I will remember to post the opposite from what you think it will be.

Saturday Tom took us to the Honda Monument and the toilet.  So strange to see this in the middle of the desert.
My dad riding the Honda monument.  This is a fun one to ride too.
Amy my quad girl.
The entire camp rode to Telephone, which is on the top of a hugh mountain.  I stayed back with Hannah and my mom, because it was a long ride and that allowed for others to go that otherwise would not have been able. ( Extra seats in our ranger and in my dad's rhino)
Amy and Jorden playing dirt bakery.  Yummy
This is the Salton Sea.  Tom took us right up to it.  It is pretty gross and smells bad.  Dead fish every where.  I guess the salt and pesticides are so high not much can live in it other then Tilapia.  They die off eventually, but fresh water runs into and brings new fish.

The gang
Tom holding a dead fish!! YUCK
My dad and Hannah sharing an apple.
Amy and Hannah ready to ride.
Clean up time, I put Hannah in a tub in the sink and let her play.  She loves bath time.
The gang at the "pumpkin patch" this is really something cool to see. The rocks look like pumpkins.  The wind and water erode them in this area and makes them look like pumpkin patch.
My girls sitting on a pumpkin rock!
This is weird, its a mud hole in the middle of the desert.  I'm not sure if is gas or water but it bubbles out of the hole on top of a hill.  So strange that its up on a hill and not bubbling out at the bottom.  Does anyone know about this?
Lunch break 3 rhinos, 1 ranger, 1 razor, 2 quads and 6 motorcyles.  Sure was a fun trip.  Can't wait for the next one.

Tom just brought me this picture of everyone facing him, so you can see the group a bit better.

Oops, we rolled!

So the first night we were at Ocotillo 3 Rhinos went for a little night adventure.  Tom and Raelynn were in front, me and my dad in the middle and Ben was behind us.  We were having a blast riding through the hills then it happened.  Tom went down a small hill but at the bottom it had a sharp left turn, we watched and waited then it was our turn as we made the sharp left we started to tip at the same time me and my dad said here we go next we we know we are on our side.  My dad lifted me off of him and stood up and helped me with my seat belt and climbed through the windshield laughing and smiling the whole time.  Anyway, Tom, Ben, dad, Raelynn and I pushed it back onto the wheels and we were off for another ride.  Thanks dad for such a fun night!!!  Here is the damage, not too bad all facial.

Kent was able to take out both dents and screw the fender back on.  You can't see it in this picture, but there is a whole where the lever is.
Dad fixing the flag with zip ties.  We broke the mirror off and the new flag and some good scratches.  Now my dad has a good story to tell.

Play date with Linkyn

So on December 30 both my husband and my friend Danielle's husband were working late VERY late.  So they came over to play with my girls.  Here are some pictures of that night.

Peace Linkyn!! (Isn't she a doll!)
Looks like the 3 musketeers!

How sweet, both babies.
Looks like Hannah is trying to grab her toy back from Linkyn.
